Wincton City right-back on road to recovery

Wincton City  right-back Alex Dawson is ready to pull on the trainers this week and start working his way back towards fitness after a close-season hernia operation.

The 23-year-old went under the knife 14 days ago in Lodon to cure an injury which he had played through for the final couple of the months of the 2012/13 campaign.He will start jogging later in the week and expects to be fully recovered in time for the start of pre-season training at the end of June….Click here to read more.

Crisis Down to Council Complacency

New Retail Development for Wincton

Exciting plans for the development of Wincton’s river corridor were announced by the city council yesterday. Plans centre on the former Wincton Brewery site and the adjacent park and ride land. The brewery site has been criticised in recent council reports because of the “negative impression” it creates for visitors to the city with its location close to Junction 36 of the motorway…..
